About us

AUBE Security protects organizations against insider threats

Our mission is to establish new security standards by applying

the latest advanced analytical theory to cybersecurity

We believe that trust must be built on solid evidence, not on statistical inference or guesswork. By applying analysis techniques grounded in advanced analytical theory to audit logs, AUBE Security pinpoints subtle signs of anomalous internal behavior that are difficult to detect using conventional approaches.

Supporting critical infrastructure providers and enterprises in rapidly detecting indicators of misuse, policy violations, and internal fraud lies at the core of our mission. By delivering an accurate and repeatable detection method that does not rely on continuously shifting and quickly outdated behavioral baselines, AUBE Security helps create an environment in which organizations can grow their businesses with confidence.

Chang-Kyu Kim, CEO & Founder.

Chang-Kyu Kim is the founder of AUBE Security, where he focuses on developing an evidence-based approach to identifying and understanding internal security risks. He oversees the direction of AUBE’s insider-threat detection/auditing platform, from product concept to market introduction, with the goal of establishing a practical and reliable security foundation for organizations.

Chang-Kyu has worked for more than 30 years in cybersecurity and advanced technology across companies such as Synopsys, nCipher, and several U.S. and European startups. His experience includes regional leadership, business development, and collaboration with critical infrastructure operators and public-sector organizations.

Kiyoshi Suzuki, VP, Technology & Engineering

Kiyoshi Suzuki leads Technology & Engineering at AUBE Security, contributing to the design, technical foundation, and quality of the company’s insider-threat detection/auditing platform. He focuses on building systems that are dependable in real operational environments, particularly in areas where internal risks are difficult to identify.

Suzuki’s background includes technical roles at IBM Japan, Cisco, EMC, and NTT Security, where he worked across networking, infrastructure, application development, and service operations. His experience with large-scale enterprise environments gives him a practical understanding of system complexity and informs his cross-disciplinary approach to product development at AUBE.

Hitoshi Osaki, Technical Advisor

Dr. Hitoshi Ohsaki is a Chief Senior Researcher at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), where he works on computational theory and data analysis using stochastic dynamical models. His research has informed the foundational concepts behind AUBE’s approach to internal threat detection.

He began his career at the Electrotechnical Laboratory (ETL), which later became part of AIST, and has held roles across academic, technical, and policy fields. His experience includes a visiting research appointment at the University of Illinois, an assignment to METI’s Information Security Policy Office, and service as a Security Export Control Investigator. Since 2018, he has also contributed to METI’s Industrial Cybersecurity Study Group for the power sector.

Dr. Ohsaki received the Young Scientists’ Prize from Japan’s Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in 2006.

Kenichi Handa, Technical Advisor

Dr. Kenichi Handa is a Visiting Researcher at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), where he conducts research on data analysis based on dynamic stochastic models and develops software systems incorporating these methods.

After earning his master’s degree from the University of Tokyo, he joined the Electrotechnical Laboratory (ETL), a predecessor of AIST, and has worked across machine learning, multilingual information processing, software engineering, and information security analysis. He received the Motooka Memorial Award (1990) and the Ichimura Academic Award (1993), and earned his Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Tokyo in 1994 with a dissertation on machine learning. Dr. Handa is the creator of Nemacs and Mule, Japanese and multilingual extensions to GNU Emacs that were later integrated into the core distribution, contributing significantly to the global adoption of native-language computing environments.

Sami Petäjäsoja, Technical Advisor

Sami Petäjäsoja is the CEO of SensorFleet and serves as a Technical Advisor to AUBE Security. He has been working in cybersecurity since 2006, holding product leadership and executive roles across startups and large enterprises, with experience spanning security testing, threat intelligence, and security monitoring technologies.

In 2011, Sami established Codenomicon’s Singapore operations and later relocated to the United States following its acquisition, working with Synopsys in Silicon Valley. Recognizing the gap between network security and application-centric monitoring platforms, he returned to Finland to co-found SensorFleet.

Throughout his career, Sami has led cybersecurity initiatives for large enterprises, government agencies, and defense organizations, and has authored technical papers and spoken at international conferences.
